Photoelectric semiconductor detectors are devices recording optical radiation and transform it in an electric signal. Photodetector is basic element of any optoelectronic system. Focal plan arrays with hundreds thousand elements in the photodetectors allow to considerably raise accuracy and action radius of optoelectronic systems.

For 60 years «Orion «RD&P Center» developed and produced hundreds types of photodetectors and photodetector assemblies based on various semi-conductor materials for whole spectrum of an optical range. Photodetectors and photodetector assemblies are intended for science and technology.

It is necessary to note wide use these detectors in such areas as medicine, nuclear power, detection of thermal losses in power lines, buildings, pipelines; search of minerals, the control of industrial processes, detection of fires struggle against criminality and terrorism; protection of borders, participation in operations of rescue and search of people in emergencies and during acts of nature and so on.
